Counter-Strike manager needed
We need you. Yes, you. If you are the man to lift this Counter-Strike channel up to a high level and attract thousands of readers.
Boomtown is currently in need of a very active Counter-Strike writer / channel manager for our UK Counter-Strike channel. Boomtown is at the moment present in the UK, Switzerland and Denmark, and we’ll soon open up a French site as well. We are not only an online site, we also operate four Internet cafés, a huge server park and one of Europe’s largest download servers. However, we have so far not been able to kick-start our UK CS channel and thus we are looking for someone who can help us.
As channel manager / writer it will be your overall responsibility to breath life into the channel and thus attract traffic, readers and users. You can shape the content and the coverage very much to your liking and in the way that you think will be the most successful. The focus should, however, in general be on the UK CS community and secondarily on the European scene.
You have to be a very independent person so you can work on your own most of the time, except when major questions/issues pop up. Your English must also be very good, so there’s no need for daily proof-reading.
Prior experience of writing about Counter-Strike in the UK is mandatory, while any experience in running a community site is a plus.
Why is this a voluntary job, then, you might ask? Well – it’s simply a matter of budget and so far we have no UK CS servers. At the moment we can offer benefits like a Boomtown e-mail account, a Boomtown City Membership and the possibility of getting some expenses refunded. However, if you can turn the CS channel into a success and thus attract users and in the end paying users, we will have a proven case and some form of payment should not be a problem anymore. Thus it's entirely up to your to establish yourself as a winner. We give you the necessary tools, you give us results.
